Christina Connell

Secretary-General
My name is Christina Connell and I am going to be the Secretary General in the conference this January. I am 17 years old and I have been to one conference before in England plus a mini conference we did in my school. It was a great experience and when all my MUN fever began. I will be attending a second mini conference in my school in May and an international conference in England in October. Before the first conference I attended I had never before heard of MUN and now I am delighted with the idea! It just pleases me to know we can start changing the world right now. NOW! It is a very satisfying feeling knowing there is so much we can do for our world and our people and that we are not irrelevant. We can speak our minds and make a change and that is what I’m expecting from the conference. I am expecting a bunch of people eager to make a difference and ready to start a revolution if needed because the future is in our hands! As you may have noticed, I am a very enthusiastic and optimistic girl and I do believe we can achieve all of this. Also, I love traveling and I have had the great chance of traveling all around so I consider the world my home, which may be what pulls me closer to MUN. This is going to be my very first time in the role of Sec-Gen and I really hope I am up to it and that the conference marks the beginning of a sustainable future. I will see you all at the start of the movement in Jan ready to change the world :)
Leyre Tejedor

Leyre Tejedor

Head of Communications
My name is Leyre Tejedor, and I'm very honoured to be the Head of Communications for MUN Bilbao next January. I will be in charge of the Press and Media Team, who will take pictures, interview delegates and make videos during the conference. I will also be managing the Magazine, which will be packed with articles, photos, interviews and more! I participated in MUN at Royal Russell School last November as a judge for the International Court of Justice (ICJ), and I think it was a fantastic experience that helped me grow as a student and also as a person. I will be attending the RRSMUN conference again next November, and I've been to two MUN one-day conferences in Colegio Ayalde. I hope everyone has a great time in the MUNBilbao conference, and takes part in the important task of accomplishing the sustainable development goals.

I´m Sofía Echezarra and I´m 16 years old. Naiara Gil and I are going to be Heads of Admin. in the first MUN conference in Bilbao and I´m sure it´s gonna be a great and enriching experience. I´m very glad of having the opportunity of taking part in something so impressive, as it´s our chance to change our world to a better one. We have so many things to say about our world ad so many ideas to propose and MUN gives us the opportunity to do it. In addition thanks to MUN, we can meet people from all over the world and that´s awesome. Although I´ve never been to a MUN conference, next May I´m going to attend to a mini one in my school in order to gain experience so I hope to be up to it! I hope you are so enthusiastic as I am and I hope to see you all next January!

Head of Admin
My name is Naiara Gil and I’m going to be one of the Heads of Administration during the 2017 conference. I’m both nervous and excited and I can’t wait till January. I think this is a really good experience for all of us, not just because of the academic benefits of the Model United Nations, but for my classmates and I as we will get the chance of knowing each other in a different way than in the school, and we’ll also know how to work as a team behind you and how to properly develop a project. I want to get the participants involved in the process too, so don’t hesitate if you want to ask me any questions. On a personal note, my interests are quite varied. I’m into drama, I’ve been in a drama club since I was twelve or thirteen and I specially enjoy that feeling you get when you’re on the stage. I love reading, I may read almost every genre but lately, I found myself loving the english classics. I’m going to end by saying that, as a typical teenager, I really love music, I’m really into it. I’m a huge fan of Arctic Monkeys, George Ezra and Pvris.
